To commemorate the 95th birthday celebration, Delta State Government under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in collaboration with Dr. Newton Jibunoh commissioned the Nelson Mandela Garden of 95 Trees and unveiled the Nelson Mandela Statue in Asaba, the state capital on the 3rd of October, 2013. Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, who was one the special guests of honour at the event, charged the audience on the need to conserve our environment.
